A Heritage Park

If you're into Philippine History and Architecture, then this is the place to be. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is an open air museum and heritage park situated in Bagac, Bataan that show cases telents and craftsmanship of Filipinos from different parts of the country.

This "time travel" park is owned by art collector Architect Jose Rizalino "Jerry" Acuzar. Dismantled piece by piece, these architectural structures dating from the 18th to 19th centuries were transported, rebuilt and restored on a 400 hectares of land, with a total land area of 231.20 sq. kms. These houses were mostly from Pampanga, Bulacan, La Union, Cagayan, Tondo, Binondo, Quiapo and a lot more.

I visited  Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar last 2012 together with my boyfriend Mark. We did not booked our accommodation there as for me it was a bit pricey. So we decided to book our stay on a resort nearby and took the day tour instead.

When we arrived there, I was so amazed on how the place was put together. Cobblestone streets, nostalgic plazas, outdoor sculptures, It seemed like we where really traveled back in time from modern to Spanish Era.

Here are some of the photos I took during our tour:

Paseo de Escolta

Casa Bizantina

La Bella Teodora

Casa Binondo I

Pool and Beach Side

Other Interesting Parts of the Park:
