Travelling to Beijing World Park

Travelling to Beijing World Park is not that hard. You can take the bus, subway or taxi. But I don't really recommend taxis since it is more expensive than taking other public transportation.

You can take the any of the public bus with numbers T7, 477, 480, 692, 967, 969, 840, 913, or 959 and get off at Shi Jie Gong Yuan station. Walk for a minute and you'll be inside the park.

You can also take the subway. For me it is more convenient. Especially that it's winter and it's hard to stay outdoor when it's -5 degrees. Go to the nearest subway station and take subway Line 9 going to Guogongzhuang Station. Exit at Guogongzhuang Station and alk for around 400 meters to the park.

We were staying in Wangfujing area and took us roughly 1 hour to reach the park by subway. We took subway Line 1 Wangfujing Station going to Pingquoyuan. Get off at Military Museum Station and transferred to Line 9 going to Guogongzhuang Station.

Right outside Guogongzhuang Station, we saw a vendor selling some chinese crepe-like wrap with sausage with veggies. We bought to try and it was so delicious. We bought another two again before we took the train going back to the hotel. And we really like it.

Look at the smile on his face. Haha

Around the world in one day? Yes!!! How? Just book a ticket to Beijing, China and go to Beijing World Park and surely it will make you feel like travelling around the world.

Entrance to Beijing World Park
Beijing World Park 北京世界公園 is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Beijing, China since it opened in 1993. It covers 46.7 hectares of land and has different sections featuring 109 famous attractions from 40 countries across the world. The "replicas" of the world's famous sites are either in full size or small scale of the original.

Inside the park you will be able to see the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Statue of Liberty, Sydney Opera House, India's Taj Mahal, Burma's Shwedagon Pagoda, Cambodia's Angkor Wat, the Temple of Luxor, the Red Square of Russia and a whole lot more.

The park offers train ride if you don't want to walk for 3 to 5 hours. The train ride costs CNY 20 per person that will tour you around the park.

Visiting this park was just a wonderful experience for us. But off course, seeing the original are still way better than replicas. I'm looking forward to really see the real thing in the future!

Sarsa Kitchen + Bar

Last March, my colleagues and I went to SM Mall of Asia to attend one of the biggest exhibit in Manila that showcases Filipino crafts. And before we witness the said event, we first went to Sarsa Kitchen and Bar to have our lunch. Which is by the way, recommended by one of my colleagues, Debra.

Sarsa Kitchen and Bar offers unique and creative Filipino dishes. Definitely not your typical Negrense food.

Here are the food that we ordered.

Crispy Dilis + Pineapple Glaze - Php120

Twice Cooked Pork Belly + Ginamos Gata & Chili Garlic Sauce - Php285

Bugtaw Bugtaw (Gising Gising) + Ginamos - Php190

Inasal Sisig - Php335

Panit (Chicken Skin) - Php170

Mango Jubilee - Php125

Piaya Ice Cream Sandwich - Php145

Leche Del Cielo - Php100

Crispy Buko Pie
We all enjoyed the food very much. From starters to main courses to desserts, everything was great. The fusion in every dish is what people will be looking forward to. The prices were also very affordable. My favorite dishes were Twice Cooked Pork bBelly with a sauce that looked and tasted like Kare Kare sauce, very unique, the Bugtaw Bugtaw or Gising Gising, the Inasal Sisig and the Ice Cream Sandwich since I super love ice cream!

I really can't wait to go back and try their famous sizzling bulalo, tortang talong and their Pancit Palabok with XO sauce.

Crop It!

I have never thought that I would be wearing a cropped top in my whole life. First, I don't have the waistline of Miranda Kerr or the abs of Tracy Anderson. Second, I might be too old to wear a cropped top as I'm already in my late 20's. Third, I am not really comfortable to show off my tummy as I walk around.

But then, on the second thought, I don't really need abs to wear a cropped top. I don't have to be young and show my skin to pull it off. I just need to choose the right length and then style it correctly to make it look flattering on me!

China Glaze - DBP, Toulene and Formalhyde Free

As we all know, putting nail polish can turn our nails yellow. Why? This is simply because of the harsh chemicals used as part of a nail polish's ingredients.

One of those chemicals that reacts with the keratin protein in our nails and make it brittle and yellow is called Formaldehyde. There are also other ingredients in a nail polish that can damage your mails and these are Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) and Toulene. And these harmful ingredients can actually cause cancer.

Does this mean that we cannot put colors to our nails? Off course we still can! All we have to do is to look for the brands that are DBP, Toulene and Formalhyde Free.

Good news is that my favorite China Glaze is one of those brands that is free from all those harmful ingredients and that is the reason why I love it! Not only that, China Glaze nail lacquers are also easy to apply, quick dry and glossy.

Here are my favorite China Glaze nail care and coat:

First, apply a thin coat of China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat and wait at least 30 seconds to dry.

Next, apply first coat of the lacquer to all nails and then repeat the same process to apply second coat.

Wait at least 1 to 2 minutes to apply China Glaze Top Coat.

Wait for a few seconds to dry to see the results.

China Glaze is available in some of the leading Department Stores in the City. I still have other colors at home and can't wait to finish every bottle til the last drop. :)

Livestock Restaurant and Bar

Last Friday, Mark and I, together with his friends, celebrated his birthday at Livestock Restaurant and Bar in Quezon City. It's actually my first time to hear about it and I was super excited to try their specialty, the ever famous Crispy Pata.

Livestock is very well known for its melt in your mouth Crispy Pata. It's so tender that the servers there use popsicle sticks to chop and slice the meat. Amazing, right?

So here are the photos at Livestock.

And without further ado, here are the photos of their Crispy Pata. Looks super yummy!!!

Melts-in-your-mouth Crispy Pata - Php650

Livestock Nachos with Mango Salsa - Php245

Beer Battered Fish and Chips - Php295

Garlic Rice Grande - Php290

The Verdict

I must say that Livestock Restaurant and Bar is a must try especially to all the food lovers out there! The place is big enough to accommodate large groups and they also have a 2nd floor for more customers. The staffs moved so quickly and were very nice.

And when they say melt-in-your-mouth, it was really melt-in-your-mouth. The meat of their Crispy Pata was so tender and tasty that we had 3 orders of Crispy Pata for 8 people.

The nachos were also good, tasty and unique as they did not use ordinary nachos. But instead, they used some sort of a lumpia wrapper or the one that you put in congees.

So if you're craving for a Crispy Pata, you know where to go now!!! Visit Livestock in Quezon City.
