Year of the Rabbit's misfortunes for 2015

Chinese New Year is not only just about celebrating the first day of the Lunar Calendar with dragon dance, fireworks, tikoy, angbao, etc but it is also about families going to temples. Chinese people believe that visiting the temple is a perfect way of pleasing the deities, thanking them and praying to bring luck for the year ahead.

As a Filipino-Chinese, it is part of our family tradition to visit the temple on this day. Every year, we go visit the temple called Santo Singkong. It is a small Buddhist church located at Tondo, Manila. And as I mentioned earlier, we go to Santo Singkong to pray and to find out what zodiac signs who has misfortune for the year.

I was born in the Year of Rabbit and here’s what my prediction of misfortunes says:
Attain in court
Husband & wife quarrel
Careful in meeting friends
Marriage isn't all smooth sailing
Prevent fire and kidnap
No vices at all

Be Careful on the Month of:
March 20 to April 18
August 14 to October 20
January 10 to February 7, 2016

These misfortunes may apply depending on the situation, person, place and time. These predictions however may be guidelines that we might consider all through out the year.

Here are some activities inside the temple that we do:
